Boemerang Vossenhol

BSO De Boemerang – Vossenhol is located in a unique spot in Almelo: right in the middle of the woods, on the grounds of Scouting group J.F. Kennedy at Bosrand 24. We provide after-school care for up to 49 children aged 4 to 12. Our home consists of two spacious, sturdy buildings fully tailored to the needs of school-age children. The location is open Monday through Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. After-school time is truly free time with us. One child wants to do absolutely nothing after school, another loves to craft, play outside or build huts. All of that is possible. Our greatest strength is the natural play environment: children can go into the woods, build huts, make campfires and play outside undisturbed. We believe that playing outside makes children happy and that movement and creativity naturally emerge when they are given space. Our pedagogical staff are there to guide children, not to direct them. We work with small, mixed-age groups so that children from different schools meet and learn from each other. There is always room to unwind after a busy school day, but also to be active. We don't organize a strict program, but offer possibilities: crafting, outdoor play, playing games together or just doing nothing for a while. De Boemerang is a place where children feel safe and free. We work together with parents and nearby schools to ensure that the care fits the child's needs as well as possible. Our goal is for children to come to the after-school care with a smile and go home with an even bigger smile.
