Basker - Schinkelkade

Welcome to BLOS Schinkelkade, our bright and welcoming daycare centre in the lively Schinkel neighbourhood. We provide care for up to 76 children aged 0–4 years in four horizontal groups: two baby groups (0–2 years) and two toddler groups (2–4 years). Each group is guided by its own experienced team of pedagogical staff who create a safe yet stimulating environment where children feel at home. Our spacious, natural garden borders the Schinkel waterway and offers endless opportunities for outdoor play, discovery and learning. We follow the Early Childhood Education programme ‘Startblokken’ and encourage language development through interactive reading, singing and play. We also make regular trips to nearby Vondelpark and organise creative activities such as painting, crafting and cooking. For our youngest guests we provide customised bottle feeding, follow the home routine and offer quiet bedrooms with cribs and toddler beds. Toddlers enjoy a warm lunch, healthy snacks and can nap outdoors in our fresh-air sleeping huts after lunch. We accommodate allergies and dietary preferences and keep parents updated daily through the BLOS app, so you always know how your child’s day has been.
