BLOS After-School Care Zuster Meijboomstraat is a warm and secure after-school facility located inside Anne Frank primary school in the Stevenshof district of Leiden. As soon as the school bell rings, our qualified pedagogical staff are ready to pick up the children from their classrooms. The youngest children are personally escorted to our spacious after-school areas, ensuring a smooth and familiar transition from school to care. Our location accommodates up to 40 children and is fully tailored to the needs of primary school children aged 4 to 12. We believe children develop best through play, discovery, and making their own choices. Therefore, we offer a varied daily programme with activities that match the children’s world of experience. Our creative studio invites children to express themselves through crafts, painting, and building. The gym and schoolyard are used for sports and games, with equipment that is challenging for both younger and older children. We love to make use of our immediate surroundings. Stevenshof Park is within walking distance and provides a rich play and learning environment with a football field, tennis wall, skate track, and small petting zoo. During these outdoor activities, children learn about nature, cooperation, and exploring boundaries in a playful way. Our pedagogical staff guide the children with attention and expertise, while leaving room for initiative and the development of social skills. At BLOS, we believe it is important that every child can be themselves. We offer a homely atmosphere where children can unwind after an intensive school day, but also have the space to move and play. Our opening hours are 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday. We work closely with Anne Frank primary school, ensuring a familiar and recognisable environment for the children.
