KDV De Ruyter is located in a charming, characterful building at De Ruyterstraat 4 in Huizen, just a short walk from the old village centre. We provide a warm, homely environment where children aged 0 to 4 feel safe, valued and free to blossom. Our core belief is that a child can only truly develop when they feel secure. Each day we create a trustworthy setting focused on connection and reliability. The location has two horizontal groups. Babies and toddlers from 0 to 2 years are cared for in a calm baby-toddler group. We follow a gentle daily rhythm aligned with natural sleep and feeding times, offering soft stimuli, cuddles and age-appropriate toys. Children aged 2 to 4 join our vibrant preschool group, where we foster language skills, motor development, independence and problem-solving through playful, creative activities. We regard every child as a competent learner who naturally explores and discovers. Outdoor play is central to our approach. Our spacious green garden – affectionately called the discovery garden – invites children to run, climb, dig and investigate. Through play they learn about nature, seasons and sustainability. Fresh air and physical activity enhance motor skills, concentration and social interaction. We implement Early Childhood Education (VVE) activities tailored to each child’s age and stage. Story-telling, singing, movement and creative projects stimulate speech and language development, while free expression and imagination allow children to progress at their own pace. Parents are partners, not customers. We communicate openly via the Bitcare parent app, where you can follow your child’s development, view photos and message staff directly. Regular parent events keep families engaged in their child’s care. Our experienced, dedicated team cares for a maximum of 28 children, ensuring every child receives individual attention.
