Blokkentuin

Welcome to childcare centre Blokkentuin, located at Blokmoeren 28a in Breda. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a warm and safe environment. Music is central to our approach: one of our pedagogical staff members has a music education background, so singing and playing instruments are part of our daily routine. We also go outside every day; we have two private playgrounds where children can run and play. When the weather is bad, we simply put on our boots or use the pull cart for short trips in the neighbourhood. Blokkentuin works closely with primary school De Hoogakker, which is located on the same premises. We use the same observation method, share themes such as ‘traffic’ and ‘living’, and participate in joint activities. During National Reading Days, children from grade 8 come to read to our little ones, strengthening the connection between childcare and school. Our location offers spacious outdoor areas, an on-site children’s hairdresser, and plenty of play opportunities. We believe children learn through play, so we offer activities such as crafts, building, reading and singing. Every day is different and tailored to the interests and developmental stages of the children. Everything is included: food, drinks, fruit, snacks and diapers. So as a parent, you don’t need to bring anything extra. We keep you updated daily through the Parent App with photos and messages about your child’s day. This way, you’re always a little bit involved. We are open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM and work with a dedicated team of caring pedagogical staff.
