Welcome to Bio Kidz B.V. at Hoofdweg 235 H in the heart of Amsterdam West. We are a small-scale daycare centre with room for up to 21 children aged 0 to 4. Our two buildings stand side by side and together form one warm, safe place where every child is seen as a unique individual. We work with vertical groups. This means babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers play and learn together. The youngest receive the calm and stimulation they need, while the older children learn to take the little ones into account. Each group has its own entrance, but is connected via a sanitary area and a bedroom. In this way children can move safely while always having a familiar face nearby. Our adjoining garden is the pride of the location. Here all children come together to climb, discover and learn from nature. A separate screened-off corner offers the very youngest a quiet place to crawl and play. For the slightly older children there is plenty of room to run and build. We regularly take a trip to the nearby Rembrandt Park, where we walk, pick flowers and feed ducks. Language and development are central to our daily programme. We therefore work with the recognised Uk & Puk programme. In a playful way the children practise vocabulary, motor skills and social skills. Our permanent pedagogical staff are curious every day about what is on your child’s mind. Each child is assigned a personal mentor, so there is always someone who knows exactly what he or she needs. Healthy, organic food is a matter of course for us. We serve seasonal vegetables, whole-grain products and little sugar. Special dietary requirements are discussed with you personally, so that your child can always eat safely and enjoyably. At our centre parents are not visitors but partners. We keep communication short and open. Together we ensure that your child feels safe, loved and challenged.
