BijZON!der

BijZON!der is our after-school care location at Groentelaan 29 in Wateringen, right next to St. Jozef primary school. We welcome up to 100 children aged 4 to 12. The site works closely with the school: after lessons, children can walk straight into our spacious group rooms and adjoining outdoor area. Our pedagogical staff greet every child with a genuine smile. We believe in the power of being outdoors; rain or shine, the children go outside every day to run, romp and make discoveries. Sports and games are central: football, dodgeball, tug-of-war or simply building huts in the natural play corner. We also offer creative activities such as crafting with materials from the garden and making music with homemade instruments. Structure and quiet alternate with free play. There is always a calm corner where children can read or build with LEGO, while an energetic game is played elsewhere. We follow fixed daily routines so children know what to expect. For the oldest children there is room to do homework under supervision; our staff help where needed and make sure there is also time to relax. BijZON!der is part of Kinderopvang ZON!, an organisation that challenges children and gives them room to be themselves. We believe every child should feel seen and heard. Our location is open on school days from 07:30 to 18:30 and also during study days and school holidays.
