Bijenkolonie

Bijenkolonie is a small-scale daycare centre located at De Meent 7 in Hilversum. We provide care for up to 41 children aged 0 to 4 years, divided into three horizontal groups: two baby groups for children aged 0 to 24 months and one toddler group for children aged 24 months to 4 years. Each group room opens onto our natural garden and a spacious indoor play hall, ensuring that children can always play safely and in a stimulating environment. The rooms are furnished mainly with natural materials and furniture. Our garden is specially designed to challenge children: corners, level changes and play equipment invite movement and discovery. The very youngest have two separate baby gardens so they too can enjoy the outdoors safely. When the weather is less favourable, the indoor play hall with blocks, play cushions and mats offers plenty of room for movement. Our pedagogical staff tailor daily activities to the children’s age. For the youngest, the focus is on sensory and motor development; we offer calm observation and stimulation moments and encourage first movements. With toddlers we build on their imagination: we play language games, practise gross and fine motor skills and explore the garden together. Everything takes place in small groups so that every child receives the attention they deserve. Bijenkolonie is part of Bink Kinderopvang and guarantees professional, loving care in a homely setting. We work according to national quality standards and keep parents actively involved in their child’s development.
