Welcome to Childcare At The Farm, located at Rijksstraatweg 71 in Sassenheim. We are a small-scale childcare facility that is part of the Boshoeve children's center from Nieuw Vennep. At The Farm, we provide care for up to 45 children aged 10 weeks to 4 years. Besides being a regular daycare center, we are also a registered nursing daycare center, allowing children with and without (chronic) illnesses or additional care needs to grow up together. Our location is housed in a characteristic 17th-century national monument farm with a beautiful natural environment. The large gardens overlooking the meadows, the animals present, and the spacious bright group areas offer children plenty of opportunities to explore and play. We have a vegetable garden where children learn about vegetables and fruits, and there are chickens that provide fresh eggs. The long lane with chestnut trees invites children to play with leaves and enjoy the seasons. Our vision is based on the pedagogical handbook of the VAK, where we work on emotional safety, personal competence, social competence, and the adoption of values and norms. We provide a warm, safe, and familiar environment where children can eat, drink, sleep, and play. Our expert pedagogical staff guide the children optimally and give them the space to be themselves and develop at their own pace. At The Farm, children go outside daily, throughout the year. We believe it's important for children to get to know and appreciate nature. That's why we have boots, overalls, and rain protective clothing available so we can go outside even in less nice weather. We encourage outdoor play but never force it. Every child is allowed and able to truly be a child with us. We believe in social integration where children from different backgrounds and care needs grow up together. This makes our care special and valuable for your child's development.
