Located at Akerstraat 27 in the vibrant heart of Heerlen, Best 4 Kids – Binnenstad is a purpose-built childcare centre that has welcomed children since 2017. We provide high-quality daycare for babies, toddlers and preschoolers from 0 to 4 years in a spacious, light-filled environment that was designed with young children in mind. Our approach is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy: the child is at the centre and is seen as a competent, curious learner. Our educators observe, listen and respond to each child’s interests, offering rich materials and experiences that invite exploration and creativity. The centre is characterised by its generous indoor and outdoor spaces. A wide glass façade connects every room to our large, green garden where children can dig, plant, cook in the outdoor kitchen and simply enjoy nature. We use natural materials wherever possible and organise regular excursions to the nearby Aambos park and other local spots. Music, art and creative expression are woven into the daily rhythm: we sing, dance, paint and craft together, always tuned to the children’s developmental stage and fascinations. Babies rest and feed in calm, cosy areas with individual attention to feeding and sleeping routines. Toddlers and preschoolers enjoy increasingly challenging invitations to build, experiment and collaborate. We serve warm, nutritious meals, fresh fruit and healthy snacks; special diets and allergies are catered for with care. The building features secure entry and free on-site parking for safe, stress-free drop-off and pick-up. Opening hours are 07:00 – 18:30 on every weekday, ideal for parents with early shifts or long commutes. Children are grouped in horizontal age groups, providing predictability and age-appropriate stimulation.
