Welcome to Berneplak de Lytse Sinnestrieltsjes! We are a small-scale and loving childcare center in Nieuwehorne, located in a renovated farmhouse with 2 hectares of land, an animal pasture, vegetable garden, and chicken/rabbit enclosure. With us, fun, safety, and development are central. In a pleasant and familiar environment, we care for children from 0 to 4 years old, where each child can develop at their own pace. Our daycare provides a warm place where babies and toddlers play, learn, and grow with personal attention. We work with a fixed group of children so that everyone quickly feels at home. Our pedagogical staff consistently speak Frisian with the children, contributing to their bilingual development. We are officially certified as a 'bernesintrum foar meartalige ûntwikkeling' (child center for multilingual development). Activities are tailored to the age and needs of the children. We sing together, read aloud, do crafts, and take walks through the forest or play in our sandbox. Children learn through play and have all the space to discover. We follow a daily routine with fixed times for sleeping, eating, and playing. For the youngest children, we write stories in their notebook and keep craft projects in a folder. We believe it is important that parents are involved in the care. There are annual parent meetings and parent evenings/open mornings. We also organize fun activities such as Easter egg hunts and a spooky ghost walk. Our care is flexible and offers various forms of care, from 40 to 52 weeks per year. Warm meals, fruit, and drinks are included, and we take allergies and special dietary needs into account.
