Berne Opfang Thús by Tomke

Berne-opfang Thús by Tomke is a warm, small-scale daycare centre located at Achter de Hiemen 12 in Beetsterzwaag. We provide care for up to six children aged 0 to 4 years in a homely setting that truly feels like a second home. Our close-knit team consists of four dedicated childcare professionals: Gjilke, Mandy, Melanie and Jorien. Thanks to our small size, every child is known personally and we can fully meet each child’s individual needs and developmental steps. Structure and rhythm are at the heart of our approach. Children receive fruit, a hot meal and rest at set times. After the fruit snack we almost always go outside: cycling, making sand cakes or simply running and playing in our own garden. We regularly take short trips to the nearby woods or pop over to the local riding school. This predictable daily rhythm gives children a sense of calm and security; they know exactly what to expect and that helps them feel at home quickly. Personal attention and a loving atmosphere are our strengths. Parents describe our centre as familiar, flexible and caring. We keep parents informed with short personal stories and photos so they can share in their child’s development. At Thús by Tomke, children grow up in a safe environment where there is plenty of room for discovery, play and making first friendships.
