Beerengoed I en II

Beerengoed I & II Daycare is located at Ovidiusstraat 135 in Heerlen and has provided a homely, small-scale childcare for up to 56 children aged 0–4 since 2010. We work with one vertical group in which babies, toddlers and preschoolers play and learn together. Our rooms are clean, bright and furnished as an extension of home; every child has a personal bed and the atmosphere is calm and familiar. Outside we have a rich natural garden with a barefoot path, vegetable garden and a small children’s farm. Every day the children can care for animals, plant seeds and harvest vegetables. These experiences form the basis of our outdoor-oriented programme: we learn by feeling, smelling, tasting and discovering. We also offer weekly cooking lessons – children help cut vegetables, stir batter and bake bread – and often start the morning with playful yoga to balance body and mind. All our pedagogical staff are trained according to the Childcare CAO and work from the principle that every child is seen and heard. We provide structure and play space so that children feel safe and secure and can develop freely. Parents find all practical information in our parent portal and can always turn to our active parent committee. At Beerengoed everything is included in one hourly rate of € 11.10: food, drinks, nappies, wipes and standard care products. We are open all year round from Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 18:00, except on official public holidays. Feel free to come by for a tour and experience the warm, homely atmosphere of Beerengoed yourself.
