Beatrix

Daycare Beatrix is located in the Nieuwe Westen district in Rotterdam-West. We offer full-day care for children from 6 weeks to 4 years old. Since January 1, 2019, our location on Korenaarstraat has both baby groups (0 to 2 years) and toddler groups (2 to 4 years). The daycare has a rich history and is the oldest in Rotterdam, opened in 1939 on the first birthday of Princess Beatrix. What makes our daycare so special is our large hidden inner garden where children can play, romp and relax in a protected environment. For us, nature is a source of inspiration. Being outdoors, paying attention to what nature has to offer, learning from and about nature. We teach children to marvel at and deal respectfully with the world around them. The food and drinks we offer children are healthy, responsible and as organic as possible. Sugar, salt, flavorings and colorings are avoided as much as possible. We provide whole grain products, fresh vegetables and fruit and we also regularly eat vegetarian meals. In a playful way, we teach children more about what they eat. We work with challenging themes and age-appropriate activities that appeal to your child. Crafts, circle games, music and playing with peers. Our staff provide challenging toys and creative materials. We are a VE location and work with the VVE program 'Uk & Puk'.
