't Wikveld

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kindcentrum 't Wikveld located at Meerwijkweg 2 in 's-Hertogenbosch. Situated in the heart of Empel, near De Groote Wielen, we form a warm and homely child center together with primary school 't Wikveld. Our BSO is small-scale and homely designed, ensuring every child feels at home immediately. We provide a safe and cozy environment where children can relax, play, and learn new things after school. Our program is diverse and challenging. Every day is different with us. Today playing games, tomorrow participating in a cool workshop. We organize free workshops where children can discover and develop their talents. Think of creative activities, sports and games, or making music in our cozy corners. Children have a say in what we do, with autonomy and ownership being central. We believe children learn best when they are the owners of their learning process. Our pedagogical approach is development-oriented and meaningful. We align with the interests and learning styles of each child and offer activities that match their zone of proximal development. We find it important that children gain successful experiences and learn that 'making mistakes' are actually learning experiences. Collaboration is highly valued; we teach children the importance of working together and learning from and with each other. We are easily accessible from Den Bosch and Rosmalen and work closely with the primary school. This ensures a seamless transition from school to the BSO. Our location features a garden and playground where children can enjoy outdoor play. We have separate spaces for younger and older children, ensuring everyone has their own place.
