BSO Struin Lent

Welcome to BSO Struin Lent, located at Kindcentrum De Verwondering on Georges Brassensstraat 61 in Lent. As part of Struin, the largest childcare organization in the Netherlands fully based on nature pedagogy, we provide after-school care for up to 58 children aged 4 to 12. Our nature pedagogues pick up children from school and take them on adventures in the wild nature outside the city. We believe that playing in nature is essential for children's development. Our activities are fully focused on nature experiences: building huts, climbing trees, fishing with landing nets, looking for beavers, roasting chestnuts on self-made fires, and much more. We work with small groups of children who stay in the same group throughout the school year. This creates peace, trust and deep bonds between children and pedagogical staff. Our approach is inspired by Scandinavian nature pedagogy and fully focused on providing unforgettable nature experiences. Since 2023, Struin has been part of Humankind, the Netherlands' largest social childcare organization. This enables us to further develop our unique nature-focused approach and let even more children roam through nature.
