Babino Peuteropvang De Zoeker Dependance

Welcome to Babino Peuteropvang De Zoeker Dependance, located at Rooswijkplein 16 in the centre of Zaandijk. We are part of the professional childcare organisation Babino and provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4. Our location is open 40 weeks per year, aligned with the school calendar, and we work closely with primary school OBS De Zoeker within an integral child centre. We follow the Early Childhood Education programme ‘Piramide’, using themed activities to stimulate each child’s development step by step. Our fixed daily schedule offers structure and calm: free play, welcome circle, corner play, Piramide activities, fruit time, outdoor play and closing circle. On Monday, Tuesday and Friday we run both morning and afternoon groups; on Wednesday morning we offer a regular play session. Outdoor play is a fixed part of the day. We use the safe outdoor area of the dependance and the nearby school playground, where children can run, cycle and explore. We regularly organise short trips in the immediate neighbourhood, such as a walk to the shopping centre or the local playground. Our group is horizontally structured: children of similar ages are together, allowing us to tailor activities to their developmental level. We apply the four-eyes principle and assign each child a fixed pedagogical staff member as mentor. Parents are actively involved through 10-minute talks and themed meetings. During the session a healthy piece of fruit and a drink are provided. We take allergies and other dietary needs into account. To follow the Early Childhood Education track we require children to attend at least 12 hours per week. We speak Dutch as much as possible on the group, helping children become language proficient through play. At Babino Peuteropvang De Zoeker Dependance every child feels safe and seen. We offer a warm, challenging environment in which toddlers can grow, play and learn.
