Avontuur

Daycare centre Avontuur is located in the heart of the Ondiep district (north-west Utrecht), within community centre De Speler. We provide care for 41 children aged 0 to 4 years in a small-scale, homely environment. Together with after-school care Odin we share a modern building with ample indoor and outdoor space. Our piazza is a central meeting place where children can roll, crawl, climb and explore. The spacious garden, equipped with natural materials, invites daily adventures. For the very youngest we have a special baby garden where they can enjoy the sun, wind and sounds of nature. We work according to the Pedagogical Heart of Kind & Co Ludens. This means we give children space to be themselves and develop at their own pace. Our approach is inspired by Emmi Pikler's vision: we follow the child in their own development and provide a rich, challenging environment where play and learning come together. Through close collaboration with BSO Odin, the pedagogical staff know each other and the children well. This makes the transition from daycare to after-school care familiar and smooth.
