Daycare center 2Matrozen is centrally located near the harbor and beach of Scheveningen, close to the Statenkwartier. The location at Zeesluisweg 30 has a cozy and homely atmosphere that makes children and parents feel immediately welcome. We value personal contact and give children and parents the time and attention they need. Our daycare center has four baby groups and three toddler groups. For babies, we have a protected safe play area in the garden, while toddlers can play on a large square with sandbox, a tricycle course, a seating pit and a mud kitchen. The garden is rich in greenery and has a herb garden where children actively participate. They help water plants and harvest herbs, which we then use in homemade soup for lunch. We regularly go out with the children. For the little ones this means walking in the buggy, while we take the toddlers on trips to the petting zoo or playground. We also collaborate with the library, nature playground, petting zoo and Lindobeach. The children also help feed our chickens and are very careful when collecting the eggs. Our pedagogical staff work from 2Samen's Pedagogical House, with 'we see you' at its core. We truly see the children and look behind their behavior. We provide a warm, safe environment where children can discover and develop at their own pace.
