Welcome to after-school care 2Sprinkhanen, located in the heart of Wateringse Veld at Leyweg 1630 in The Hague. We are part of childcare organization 2Samen and provide active, sporty care for children aged 4 to 12. Our location is situated in the cozy clubhouse of Hockey Club Wateringse Veld (HCWV), with whom we collaborate intensively. This allows children to make daily use of the extensive sports fields and facilities. At 2Sprinkhanen, everything revolves around movement, nature experience and creativity. Our childcare center looks like a holiday chalet from the outside with lots of wooden accents. Inside we create a warm, homely atmosphere with sustainable materials where nature is central. We have a beautiful natural playground with its own vegetable garden, water track and hut building area. Children can grow their own vegetables and herbs here, experiment with water and create creative structures from recycled materials. Our activity offering is broad and challenging. With the 2Samen KICKS program, we offer children days full of fun and educational experiences. Think of survival and camp days, sports clinics, creative workshops and special holiday programs. Our pedagogical staff guide children in discovering their talents and developing new skills. We work in three after-school care groups, taking into account the age and development of each child. We provide care on weekdays from 7:30 to 8:30 AM (before-school care) and after school until 6:30 PM. During school holidays we are open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We pick up children from De Waterlelie, De Fontein, Maria Montessori School and De Hofvilla. Our location accommodates up to 79 children and is known for its professional, involved approach where every child feels seen and valued.
