2Zonnetjes

2Zonnetjes is our daycare center located at Mient 275 in the friendly Vruchtenbuurt neighborhood of The Hague. We are part of 2Samen and offer both daycare and after-school care at this location. For our youngest children, we have three baby groups and two toddler groups, providing a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our pedagogical staff stay close to the children, observing and guiding them so that each child can be themselves and feel safe to explore the world. The spaces are carefully designed to match the age and needs of our children. We have our own studio where we work with small groups using various materials. We also occasionally use the gymnasium of De Vliermeent primary school. What makes us special are the large outdoor spaces surrounding the building. Children play here daily in the grass, with sand and water. We have a vegetable garden where children see how seeds grow into plants from which they can pick beans and cook them. We also go outside when the weather is less favorable, providing appropriate outdoor clothing for all children. We regularly visit the Houtwijk care home to sing songs and read books together with the grandpas and grandmas. We also make trips to the library and the environmental education center in Zuiderpark. Every day we climb, clamber, dance, sing, read and laugh a lot together. There is always room to relax in a cozy pillow corner or to work with challenging materials. At 2Zonnetjes, every child can be themselves and develop at their own pace.
