Amelis Buiten - Frans Halsstraat

Amelis Buiten - Frans Halsstraat is a small-scale after-school care (BSO) in Utrecht East, approved by the local health authority (GGD) and the municipality of Utrecht. We provide after-school care for up to 16 children aged 4 to 12. Our home is located on a quiet street in the Schildersbuurt neighbourhood, within walking distance of Wilhelminapark and several primary schools including De Odyssee and Utrechtse Schoolvereniging. At Amelis Buiten, we believe that nature is the ideal environment for children's development. That's why we spend as much time outdoors as possible: playing in the garden, exploring the park, and making use of everything the seasons offer. Our pedagogical staff guide the children with calmness, attention, and space for their own initiative. We use a horizontal group structure, allowing children of different ages to play together and learn from each other. After school, a familiar pedagogical worker picks up the children and brings them to our location. A healthy snack is waiting for them, and they can choose what they want to do: romping in the garden, crafting in the living room, or simply relaxing with a book. We work closely with parents and schools to optimally support each child's development.
