AKROS voorschool Westerpark

Welcome to AKROS Voorschool Westerpark, located at Van Hogendorpplein in the heart of Amsterdam West. We provide preschool care for children aged 2 to 4 years in close collaboration with Westerparkschool. Our preschool is a place where learning through play is central. In a safe and rich play-learning environment, children playfully get acquainted with education, preparing them well and with confidence for primary school. We work with an educational program that covers all areas of development. Children build in the construction corner, read picture books in the reading corner, dress up in the home corner, sing and make music, move indoors and outdoors, and much more. In between, fruit is eaten and we have lunch together. Our experienced pedagogical staff see each child and stimulate development at their own level. Our preschool has its own outdoor area where children play every day. The classroom is equipped with a discovery table used to support the current theme. There is a home corner, construction corner, craft corner, and group tables for puzzles and games. We work closely with parents and keep them well informed about their child's development and the group program. The preschool is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 08:30 to 13:50. There is one group with a maximum of 16 children under the guidance of two pedagogical staff members. After preschool, your child can transition to primary school. Around the third birthday, parents receive an information letter and preference form for enrollment.
