Welcome to AKROS preschool Het Winterkoninkje, located at Hasebroekstraat 113 in the heart of Amsterdam-West. As part of the AKROS Childcare Foundation, we have been providing small-scale, affordable and high-quality preschool care for children aged 2 to 4 for over 30 years. Our location has a maximum capacity of 12 childcare places and has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 10 May 2021 under number 364446985. This allows parents to apply for childcare allowance. At Het Winterkoninkje we work with a clear horizontal group structure: toddlers aged 2-4 are together in one group. This creates peace, structure and familiarity. Our pedagogical policy is aimed at providing each child with a safe and familiar environment in which they can develop optimally. We follow a fixed daily schedule with set times for playing, eating, sleeping and activities. This routine gives your child a sense of security and fits with the times you drop off and pick up your child. As a preschool, we offer Early Childhood Education (ECE). This educational program focuses on the broad development of your child, with extra attention to language and movement. Through themes, we prepare your child playfully for a good start at primary school. We work closely with primary school Het Winterkoninkje, with whom we provide a continuous learning line for children from 2 to 12 years old. Our dedicated pedagogical staff are ready every day to guide your child with heart and soul. We see parents as partners in parenting and keep you informed of all developments through our Parent App. You will receive photos, daily reports and can ask all your questions directly.
