Welcome to AKROS Kinderdagverblijf De Tuimelaar, your trusted daycare centre in Amsterdam West, De Baarsjes! For more than 40 years we have provided a safe and happy place where children aged 0 to 4 can play, learn and grow. Our centre houses three baby groups and three toddler groups in a horizontal group structure. This means babies have quiet, dedicated spaces while toddlers and pre-schoolers share their own lively environment. Each core group has a consistent pedagogical professional who gives your child individual attention, carefully tuned to developmental stage, needs and interests. For toddlers aged 2 to 4 we offer the recognised Early Childhood Education (VVE) programme Kaleidoscoop. Through themed activities we prepare your child for a smooth transition to primary school—learning to talk and listen, make friends and interact with peers. This pre-school education is woven into daily play and always age-appropriate. Our large green playground invites outdoor play and natural discovery. We believe children need space to move, explore and learn both indoors and outdoors, so we emphasise outdoor play and nature education suited to each age group. Half-day or full-day care is available to fit your family’s schedule. Trust, safety and a warm atmosphere are at the heart of everything we do.
