AKROS BSO Kinkerbuurt

Welcome to BSO Kinkerbuurt, the after-school care located inside Kindcentrum De Kinkerbuurt at Borgerstraat 109 in Amsterdam West. Since the 2022/2023 school year we have been offering after-school and holiday care for up to 58 children aged 4 to 13 in close partnership with the school. Our qualified pedagogical staff collect the children at the end of the school day from Kindcentrum de Kinkerbuurt and Brede School Annie M.G. Schmidt. Because care takes place in the familiar school building, the transition from classroom to after-school time is seamless. Daily contact with teachers keeps us informed about each child’s experiences, interests and needs. Children decide for themselves how they want to spend their time. Learning happens naturally when children follow their own curiosity, whether they choose to build, craft, read, play games or simply relax after a busy school day. Themes introduced at school—such as nature and sustainability—are continued and explored further during after-school hours, ensuring that every child’s talents keep growing while having fun with friends and discovering new interests. Our bright, spacious rooms open directly onto an outdoor area where children can run, climb and play freely. We foster a warm group climate in which every child feels safe and valued. Parents are regarded as partners in upbringing; we maintain open communication and are always ready to discuss your child’s development. BSO Kinkerbuurt is available not only after school but also during school holidays and study days, providing flexible, year-round care you can rely on.
