Agrarische Kinderopvang Het Groene Spoortje

Welcome to Agrarische Kinderopvang Het Groene Spoortje, our private daycare located on a farm at Broekdijk 30A in Hulten. We provide childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a unique agricultural setting. Our location is situated in the rural area of Hulten, just 1.5 km from Koolhoven and a 5 to 10 minute drive from Gilze and Rijen. Adjacent to our daycare is a poultry farm, creating an authentic farm experience. Outdoor play is central to our approach. Children explore nature wearing boots and overalls: they play with animals, cuddle chickens, and learn about farm life in a playful way. We work with small groups of maximum 16 children with at least two supervisors per 12 children, offering both horizontal and vertical group structures. This provides peace and space for each child. Our play areas are both indoors and outdoors. In our vegetable garden, children witness firsthand how strawberries, potatoes, and sunflowers grow. These products are harvested together with the children and processed into delicious dishes in our kitchen. We also create creative crafts using natural materials. Our activities align with the seasons and farm events, such as animal births. We are open all year round, 52 weeks per year, Monday to Friday from 07:15 to 18:15. We are only closed on national holidays. Diapers are included in our service, so parents don't need to worry about them. We follow a child-centered approach, focusing on each child's development and working from a place of respect for nature.
