Welcome to Agrarisch Kinderdagverblijf Knorretje v.o.f. located at Buitenbrinkweg 77A in Ermelo. We are a warm, homely daycare centre with a unique children’s farm where children aged 0 to 4 are cared for. Every day we take the children outside to meet and look after our goats, chickens, ducks, birds and rabbits. This direct contact with animals makes our setting special and nurtures young children’s natural curiosity and respect for living creatures. Our care is small-scale and personal; we accommodate a maximum of 24 children in a vertical group where babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers play together and learn from one another. The rooms are designed as an extension of home, with soft colours, natural materials and plenty of quiet corners. We follow a clear pedagogical framework that centres on calm, regularity and attention. The outdoor area – a secure, green garden with play equipment and direct access to the farm – is the heart of our daily routine. In fine weather the children sleep outside in the fresh air and we use outdoor play materials that stimulate gross-motor development. Creative activities are tailored to the weekly or seasonal theme: think crafts with natural materials from the garden, singing songs about the animals, or reading picture books about farm life. We believe every child should feel safe and seen; our regular pedagogical staff know every child and their parents personally. Parents receive photos and short messages via a WhatsApp group so they can share in their child’s experiences. In short, at Knorretje we combine the security of a homely environment with the rich learning experiences offered by a children’s farm. We look forward to welcoming you and your child!
