Achthoek De

Day-care centre Achthoek De is located on the ground floor of the Achthoek Child Centre at Houtse Heuvel 3 in the centre of Den Hout. As part of Stichting Delta we provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our horizontal group structure means that babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers play and sleep in separate age groups, ensuring that each developmental stage receives the right attention. We follow an officially recognised Early Childhood Education programme that stimulates young children’s language and cognitive development. Every day we offer structured activities that connect with the child’s world: singing, reading aloud, exploring the nature garden and playing with age-appropriate materials. Our pedagogical staff carefully observe and record each child’s development and tailor activities accordingly. The youngest children have their own sleeping rooms with cots; older toddlers rest on comfortable stretchers. Outside we have a safe, green playground where children can run around, build sandcastles and discover nature. Parents receive a daily report via our Parent App with photos and a short description of their child’s experiences. Flexible care options allow half-day or full-day enrolment, tailored to the needs of the family.
