2Kabouters CBS de Spiegel KDV

Welcome to 2Kabouters CBS de Spiegel KDV, located in a beautiful new building at Van de Spiegelstraat 23 in the heart of the Zeeheldenkwartier in The Hague. Since September 2019, we share our location with CBS De Spiegel primary school, allowing children to seamlessly transition from daycare to primary education. At 2Kabouters, we provide care for up to 28 children aged 0 to 4 years, divided into two horizontal groups: a baby group and a toddler group. Our pedagogical staff create a safe and secure environment in each group where children can develop at their own pace. We work with thematic programs such as 'spring' and 'vehicles', stimulating children's natural curiosity. Our spacious group areas are equipped with different play corners that invite exploration and play. In our reading corner, we read daily from books that stimulate language development. The construction corner offers space for constructive play, while children can let their imagination run free in the home corner. These carefully designed corners provide children with the opportunity to play and discover at their own level. Our outdoor space is directly connected to the building and offers something for every child. The youngest can enjoy fresh air safely in the baby garden, while toddlers can explore our challenging playground with sandbox, bikes, and their own vegetable garden. Here children learn about nature and the seasons through play. Healthy nutrition is very important to us at 2Kabouters. Therefore, we offer children several times a week a warm, healthy and nutritious meal during lunch. All drinks, fruit and snacks are included. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account. For the youngest children, we provide complete baby care including diapers, wipes and bottle feeding. We work with a fixed daily schedule that includes sufficient rest periods. Our experienced baby and toddler caregivers follow each child's individual sleep and feeding rhythms. As part of 2Samen, parents use our convenient parent app where all information about their child can be easily found. We provide preschool education (VE) and work according to development-oriented principles that support the broad development of each child.
