Abeltje Meijhorst

Abeltje Meijhorst Daycare is located in the heart of Dukenburg district in Nijmegen, just a stone's throw from Meijhorst shopping center. Our location provides care for up to 74 children in five age-specific groups: the Boefjes (0-1 years), Bloemetjes (1-2 years), Bijtjes (2-3 years), Vlinders (3-4 years) and the Uilenbosje, a toddler group with additional VVE support for children who need a little extra attention. Everything we do revolves around calm, space and development. We create a soothing atmosphere where classical and calming music plays a central role. By letting children unconsciously listen to this music, we see their concentration increase and the calm in the group improves. This stimulates their independence and helps them better discover their own talents. We believe movement and healthy nutrition are equally important. Our pedagogical staff provide daily varied activities where play, movement and music go hand in hand. Think of sporty games in our spacious garden or movement activities indoors. And because we don't like to make things difficult, we work according to the ALL INCLUSIVE principle: breakfast, lunch, fruit, yogurt AND diapers are all included in the price. Our horizontal group structure ensures that children play and develop with peers under the guidance of specialized staff who know exactly what's needed for their developmental stage.
