Voorschool Lidwina

Welcome to Voorschool Lidwina, located at De Hoeve site of primary school Lidwina, Simon Stevinstraat 48, in the heart of Amsterdam’s Watergraafsmeer district. As a VVE-recognized preschool, we are part of Dynamo Amsterdam and provide a safe, stimulating and development-focused environment for toddlers aged 2 to 4. Our preschool follows the VVE program (Pre- and Early Childhood Education), specifically designed to support young children’s development. We focus on language development, social skills and school readiness. Activities are tailored to each child’s age and developmental stage. We work with themes that connect to toddlers’ world of experience, such as seasons, animals, traffic and emotions. Our highly trained pedagogical staff work in small groups. We offer both morning and afternoon sessions, giving parents flexibility. Healthy snacks and drinks are provided, and we accommodate allergies and dietary needs. Children have space to play, explore and learn in a homely setting with a secure outdoor playground. Voorschool Lidwina works closely with primary school Lidwina, ensuring a smooth transition to elementary education. Children with a VVE indication who attend at least 8 months, 4 sessions per week, receive priority for placement at the primary school. We welcome toddlers from age 2 and offer half-day care.
