Welcome to De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, location Blijvliet, the starting point for your toddler in Rotterdam! We are part of Kindcentrum Blijvliet, one organisation where primary school, pre-school and after-school care blend seamlessly. Our site at Hillevliet 96 offers a safe, colourful environment where children aged 2 to 4 can playfully grow into independent, social and resilient Rotterdam citizens. At our centre “The child comes first!”. We follow one shared pedagogical and educational vision that runs from babies, toddlers to infants. This means your child experiences a smooth continuum: the same core values of respect, safety, responsibility and cooperation are reflected in every activity. Our qualified staff know every child and know the next step in his or her development. Play is learning with us. We provide a wide range of activities: music and dance to stimulate the sense of rhythm, arts and crafts to train fine motor skills, language games to expand vocabulary and reading aloud to spark imagination. In addition, there is plenty of room for outdoor play in our secure garden; toddlers learn to interact with nature and each other while playing. Fruit and drinks are always included and we take allergies into account. Parents are our partners. Through one shared app and one phone number you are always kept informed of your child’s progress. We regularly organise parent meetings and open our doors for a tour or a no-obligation introductory chat. Together we ensure your toddler starts primary school with confidence!
