Plateau bso De Vuurvogel

Welcome to Plateau bso De Vuurvogel, located at Obrechtlaan 3 in the Noorderpark residential area of Assen. Our child centre offers integrated public education, toddler care and out-of-school care for children aged 4 to 13 under one roof. We believe that children develop best when learning, playing and childcare flow seamlessly together. Children can join our before-school care (7:30 – 8:30 AM) and after-school care (12:30/2:30 – 6:00 PM) from age four onwards, with extended hours until 6:30 PM available. Our out-of-school care provides a varied programme of activities tailored to children's diverse developmental areas. We organise workshops and activities in music, dance, visual arts, sports and nature exploration. We also value free play time with friends and relaxation after an intensive school day. Our pedagogical staff create a safe and stimulating environment where children are both challenged and respected at their own pace and according to their interests. We use the Social Schools app to keep parents informed about activities and developments within the childcare setting. This ensures parents stay involved in their children's experiences and can provide support when needed. Our location features a spacious garden and playground where children can play and explore freely. We regularly organise excursions and special activities, including participation in the culture menu introducing children to various art disciplines. Plateau bso De Vuurvogel is part of Stichting Plateau Integrale Kindcentra, an organisation combining childcare and education within the municipality of Assen. We operate according to the core values of space, trust and respect, giving every child room to be themselves and grow. Our BSO is registered under number 109397216 in the National Childcare Register and accommodates 20 children.
